Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town:
Arrive in the vibrant city of Cape Town, where the beauty of Table Mountain awaits. After check-in at our boutique hotel, we will meet our fellow travelers for a welcome dinner.
Dinner will be at a restaurant that blends global flavors with South African ingredients in a creative and modern way.
Day 2: Table Mountain/Penguins and Cape Peninsula
Our day begins with an exhilarating morning tour up Table Mountain, one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Take a scenic cable car ride to the top, where you’ll be treated to sweeping 360-degree views of Cape Town, the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, and the dramatic Cape Peninsula.
After soaking in the panoramic views, our next stop takes us to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Here, we’ll encounter the charming African penguins in their natural habitat. Watch as they waddle along the beach, dive into the clear waters, and interact in their playful way.
Next, we head to Cape Point. This rugged, windswept part of the Cape Peninsula is where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Take in the dramatic coastal views and explore the historic Cape Point Lighthouse, perched high above the cliffs.
A candlelit dinner by the sea, where the gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore adds a calming soundtrack to the evening.
Day 3: Visit of Bokaap/Malay Cooking Class/Sunset Cruise
. The Cape Malay community has a rich culinary heritage, blending African, Dutch, and Malaysian influences into flavorful, aromatic dishes. During this hands-on cooking class, we’ll learn how to prepare traditional dishes. As we cook, we'll get to know the stories behind the ingredients, the spices, and the cultural significance of each dish. Afterward, indulge in a delicious meal that we’ve prepared, savoring the mouthwatering flavors of Cape Malay cuisine.
After lunch we head to the Bo-Kaap neighborhood, one of the most colorful and historically significant areas of Cape Town. Known for its vibrant multi-colored houses and cobblestone streets, Bo-Kaap is home to the Cape Malay community and offers a fascinating glimpse into the city’s diverse cultural history. We’ll learn about the neighborhood’s unique blend of influences, from its Muslim heritage to its role in Cape Town’s rich history.
After lunch we will visit the V&A Waterfront that offers an incredible shopping experience that blends local charm with international brands. Located along the picturesque harbor, it's not only a place to shop but also a destination that combines culture, dining, entertainment, and spectacular views of Table Mountain.
As the day winds down, prepare for a relaxing sunset cruise along the Atlantic Ocean. Board our boat and set sail as the sun begins to dip below the horizon.
Dinner will be enjoyed at one of the many restaurants on our return.
Day 4: Kirstenbosch Gardens and Wine Tasting Tour
Starting off in Kirstenbosch gardens with its rich collection of fynbos. Explore the meandering paths, relax by tranquil water features, and soak in the serene atmosphere of one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
After an early lunch we will travel to a wine farm to start our wine tour. Enjoy learning about wine production by going on a short cellar tour after your wine tasting at the vineyard.During the tour, we’ll visit the wine cellars and witness the careful process of wine production. Then, it’s time to indulge in wine tastings, where we’ll savor a variety of wines, each with its own unique flavors and characteristics. Paired with small bites or cheeses, these wines will provide a delicious introduction to South African winemaking.
A fine dining experience, at a restaurant combining flavours from afar, is an exceptional treat for the senses.
Day 5: Maun, Botswana – Gateway to the Okavango Delta
Fly from Cape Town to Maun, Botswana, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Upon arrival, we’ll check in at the lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure
Day 6: Mokoro ride and Elephant Orphanage
The next morning after an early wake-up we will take a mokoro (dugout canoe) ride through the Okavango Delta, where you’ll experience the serene beauty of one of the world’s largest inland deltas. Spot wildlife like hippos, elephants, and diverse bird species in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon we will head to the elephant orphanage, a sanctuary dedicated to caring for orphaned baby elephants that have been rescued from poaching or natural disasters. Many of these elephants have been found abandoned in the wild and are brought to the sanctuary to be nurtured and rehabilitated.
Dinner at a restaurant serving delicious, home-made food prepared with the freshest ingredients.
Day 7: Where the Gentle Giants (Elephants) Roam
After breakfast we will travel to a lodge where elephants roam in their natural habitat. During the evening, we’ll witness the magnificent elephants returning to the waterhole to quench their thirst. As they approach, they are incredibly silent, their large, gentle feet barely making a sound on the earth. Watch in awe as these majestic creatures drink, bathe, and interact with one another, providing a mesmerizing and peaceful experience.
Dinner and lunch will be enjoyed at the lodge.
Days 8-9: Kasane, Botswana – Chobe National Park Safari
Travel to Kasane and settle into our lodge before embarking on an afternoon safari in Chobe National Park. The open-top safari vehicle allows for unobstructed views of the wildlife. Chobe is renowned for its massive elephant population, and as you venture into the park, you’ll be in prime territory for spotting large herds of elephants wandering through the savannah. The park is also home to lions, leopards, buffalos, and a variety of antelope species like kudu and impala.
Early the next morning we will set out on a sunrise game drive. After the thrilling game drive, we will have a scrumptious meal and relaxing time before embarking on a boat cruise which offers a completely different but equally stunning perspective of Chobe. Gliding along the Chobe River, you’ll have the chance to spot wildlife that comes to the river’s edge to drink or bathe. Elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo are often seen on the banks, and the birdlife is rich and colorful, with species like kingfishers, herons, and African fish eagles making an appearance.
Settling into the cozy, intimate ambiance of the lodge, with the sounds of nature surrounding us and the soft glow of candlelight or lanterns adding warmth to the evening to enjoy a delicious dinner.
Days 10: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Transfer to Victoria Falls and feel the energy of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. After lunch at the lodge, we head to the falls, taking in the awe-inspiring power of the falls., One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Also known in the local language as Mosi-oa-Tunya “The Smoke that Thunders”
Dinner will be at the Boma – “Place of Eating”, combining a traditional Zimbabwean feast with vibrant cultural performances.
Day 11: Elephant Sanctuary/Art
Begin our day with a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary, where we'll have the opportunity to interact with rescued elephants. Learn about their rehabilitation process and the conservation efforts to protect these majestic creatures. Y
We then head to a serene waterhole, where easels and painting materials are set up under a magnificent Mopane tree. Guided by a private art tutor, participants can unleash their creativity while observing the elephants in their natural habitat. After the art lesson, a delicious two-course buffet lunch is served at the conservation center on the banks of the Masuwe River.(All fun-no pressure if you have never lifted a paint brush in your life)
Dinner situated at a restaurant, watching the setting sun, casting golden hues across the sky, and the mighty Zambezi River rushes below.
Day 12: Walking Safari
An early rise for a 2 hour Bushwalk. We will learn how to identify different animal tracks, signs of wildlife, and the intricacies of the surrounding ecosystem. It’s an excellent way to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the African bush, followed by lunch at a local restaurant for a delicious Zimbabwean meal - where you can taste the traditional dishes
After a delicious lunch, take a stroll through Victoria Falls Town and explore its many art galleries and craft markets. The town is filled with local artisans showcasing beautiful paintings, sculptures, beadwork, textiles, and wood carvings.
Dining aboard the Royal Livingstone Express is a truly unique experience. Set in the luxurious atmosphere of a vintage train, it combines fine dining with stunning views of the Zambezi River and the Victoria Falls. The train itself exudes old-world charm with polished wood, elegant furnishings, and an inviting ambiance that transports you to another era.
Day 13: Departure – Home or Onward Travel
As you board your flight home, carry with you not only the memories of this incredible journey but also a piece of Africa—its spirit, its people, and its untamed beauty—that will continue to inspire you long after you've left its shores.
